| Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian film and TV actress known for her roles in movies such as The PianoFly Away Home and X-Men.She entered the film industry when she was a young artist, as a child artist in The Pianofor which she won the Oscar Award for the Best Actress in a supporting role at the age of eleven. Her intention was never to be an actress however, fate determined that she should. Following her success in her debut film she received many offers which she declined in order to focus on studying. The film industry returned her to the screen when she was 14 taking on roles like Jane Eyre and Fly Away Home. Her part in The X-Menthe XMenfilm set was the first one to become her most recognizable. She was back as Roguein sequels, such as X2 and X-MenThe Last Stand.She had smaller screen roles in the role of Elaine Goodalin's The Bury of My Heart at Wounded Kneefor her debut Emmynomination. Soon she was bombarded with offers to act in TV series and was eventually cast for shows such as True Bloodand Flack. |
