Yael Stein, who is Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's diploma from NIDA. Yael's first job has given her to meet and work with Australia's top storytellers. Yael has a successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new place of residence with the city of New York City when the production played to critical acclaim at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is an Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery promotes new writing, innovative creative initiatives, and encourages the formation of new writers.
